Designer of the Month
Rowan & Willow
I’m Deb, the maker behind Rowan and Willow and I’ve been creating with decoupage for over 30 years now. It’s something I have a huge passion for and really enjoy.
My designs are made with a decoupage technique, using separate elements cut from a variety of paper napkins, to create something entirely unique. Painstaking work, but so satisfying. I offer a variety of home décor and gift items, and often add some one-off quirky pieces and up-cycled products.
I’ve lived in Kent since I was a teenager and also in Devon for a while, which is where my love of nature and the countryside was nurtured and this constantly inspires my work. My husband and I holiday a lot on Dartmoor and along the Jurassic coast, and we love walking.
After working in a corporate setting for over 30 years, I was sadly made redundant. However, this prompted me to make something more of my hobby and love of decoupage, and so Rowan and Willow was born. Very recently I took early retirement, to be around more for my family, including our two beautiful grandsons.
I’m thrilled to be a small part of Kent Loves, and their ethos to support designers and creatives, whilst keeping the high street alive. A real Aladdin’s cave of gems, by such talented people. You certainly won’t be disappointed.
