Hello all! I wanted to share my first ever workshop with you, and talk a little bit about what I do to give you some insight! This solar dyeing workshop will be an evening of learning about natural dyes, where I will tak to you about how and where to source from, how you can dye at home, materials and equipment I recommend, how to solar dye (all equipment will be provided and you will get to take your kit home) and of course we’ll enjoy some yummy homemade cake and tea from Kent Loves ✨

My name is Ellie and I’m a natural dyer, recently graduated from Chelsea college of art with a first in BA (hons) textile design ✨
I specialised in natural dye and sustainable design, producing naturally dyed hand punched rugs for my final major project ✨
I work only with pure British wool, natural fibres and natural dyes - keeping my work as sustainable and low carbon footprint as possible ✨
I have a good few years of experience up my sleeve with fibre art and traditional craft techniques, which I would love to share more about in future workshops ✨
